A big thank you to Lee Reynolds, from Leicestershire, who set off on a sponsored swim around lake Llyn Dinas near Ffestiniog in North Wales. Accompanied by her friend Mandi in a kayak for safety Lee took just over 2 hours to swim the 4km course.
The team then moved to the neighbouring lake Llyn Gwynant to complete another 2km in less than 2 hours.
Lee said, “The swim was glorious; I’d comfortably hit my stride and was swimming an easy crawl letting my mind wander – in fact I’ve planned my 40th birthday celebrations for next year in fine detail (a few swims are involved). The sun never stopped shining and Wales never looked better, the mountains dominating the skyline. Although the water was cold it wasn’t unpleasant and I was able to watch small fish darting around beneath me”.
Everyone at the Swimming Trust thanks you for your support.
