The Swimming Trust believes that all involved with the sport of swimming, should comply with the principles of fair play to ensure all participants develop moral virtues, dedication, integrity, courage and fairness.  The Swimming Trust encourages the young people it engages with, to be respectful towards their community, family members, friends and peers.
The Swimming Trust is strongly committed to endorsing the wellbeing benefits that participation in swimming brings. The Trust believes that there is opportunity to engage on a large scale, an increased number of people participating in the sport of swimming and will continue to develop new interventions to take swimming to those who have not traditionally participated or who face barriers to participation.   We believe that there are talented young people in competitive swimming sports who are likely to miss opportunities without intervention from the Swimming Trust. We are dedicated to delivering in partnership with the asa and other associated partners, increased participation in the sport of swimming throughout the UK and create positive impact on individuals and communities.

We are committed to delivering our service with integrity. Our Trustees, staff and partners, recognise the importance of ensuring the business activities are delivered on a solid governance platform.

Trustees meet quarterly to review finances, policies and the development of programmes and activities. They also take a full role in the consideration of applications, which are evaluated on their merits, and must fall within the Trusts objectives.

The Trust consistently aims to improve safety for all members of the community from young people through to adults.  We believe in the principles of sports equality by working to recognise inequalities and taking positive action to overcome them.  Our ethos and code of practice is transferred to any collaborative organisations and working partnerships.
